Christin Bishop (Smith) of Upper Island Cove passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on Friday, August 11, 2023. Mrs. Bishop was 69 years old. Her strong and unbreakable faith helped her through her long journey with cancer.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories:
Her devoted husband of 49 years, Howard
Daughters: Michelle (Jason) & Tracy (Chris)
Grandchildren: Reilly (Anne), Kaylee, Xander and Sierra
Siblings: Phyllis (Reg), Rhyodia (Evelyn), Sandra (Grant), Maisie (Guy), Lillian (Clyde), Leona (Walt), Art (Shirley), Sylvia (Randy), Will (Stella), Jeff (Mary), and Nancy (Rick)
Siblings: Gladys, Ethel (Ralph), Lloyd (Peggy), Douglas (Doreen), Margaret and Marina (Nick)
And a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Predeceased By:
Parents: Joe and Jane Smith
Parents-In-Law: Esau and Mary Bishop
Brothers-In-Law: Keith and Les
Nieces: Roxanne and Tammy.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Upper Island Cove on Monday: 10 A.M.-12 Noon & 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday: 10:30 A.M. – 1 P.M.
As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Polka Dot Trot in aid of Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2 P.M. from St. Peter’s Anglican Church & Cemetery, Upper Island Cove.
