At the Palace Long Term Care on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Christena Hazel Sova (née Smith) of Alexandria, formerly of Glen Roy; age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Sova. Loving mother of Douglas (Helen) of Alexandria, Gordon (Catherine) of Don Mills, James (Pam) of Odessa and Robert (Kim) of Manotick. Dear daughter of the late Duncan Smith and the late Bertha E. MacKeracher. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Emily Jackson (Carl), Amy Kranyak (Jeff), Rachel Fuchs (Jess), Ryan (Demi Allen), Dylan and 3 great grandchildren Maisie, Charlotte and Henry. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. Alexandria (613-525-2772). A Visitation will be held at the Alexandria United Church (Church on the Hill) on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 starting at 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am, followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Christena a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
