It is with profound sadness that the family of Chesley Harold George announce his peaceful passing on March 24, 2024, at the age of 78 years, in the presence of his devoted family. Ches was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Marguerite George, parents-in-law Garfield and Mabel Boutcher, brother-in-law Eugene, and many beloved pets.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 55 years, Lilian; their children Harold (Lisa) and Danette (Greg), and his 5 precious grandchildren – Emily, Hannah, Grace, Aaron & Madeline; siblings Eileen (Art), Linda (Bob), Lawrence (Mary) and siblings-in-law Herman (Maxine), Doreen, Minnie (Jim) and Rene (Glenda). Ches also leaves behind a close and caring group of nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
Ches embodied an unparalleled appreciation of life and will be remembered as a gentle and patient man with a kind heart and a quick smile who cared deeply for his family.
Sincere gratitude is extended from the family to Dr Kelly Smith as well as the staff of the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial hospital, in particular Doctors Wee, Buckle and Paul and the nursing staff for their comprehensive and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ches’s memory to The Salvation Army Community Food Bank.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
