t’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Cheryl Nielsen, aged 72.
She leaves behind her loving husband Edward, daughter Shannon (Ian), sisters Randy, Kim (Rod), nephew Jason (Julia), niece Candace (Jody), great grand nephew Nolan (Aron), Ethan, great grand niece Brooklyn and great great grand nephew Connor.
She is predeceased by her parents Marg and Dick Klassen, and brother in law Wolfgang.
She will be remembered for her love of family and her cats. She had a fierce fight and determination against the many health issues that unfairly burdened her for many years. She was such a fighter and the strongest person we knew.
The Nielsen family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the dialysis unit and palliative care team at Selkirk Regional Hospital for the care she received.
A private service will be held for the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in her honour.
