Cherie Patterson Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Harriston on Saturday, August 24, 2024, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia. Born in Collingwood on March 21, 1945, Cherie Heather Patterson (nee Johnston) of Owen Sound, was in her 80th year.
Forever Mom of Andrew Patterson (Janet) of Elora, Ryan Patterson (Annette) of Hepworth and Brian Mepsted of Clavering. Cherished grandma of Aiden, Rachel (Dawson), Alexandria, Amelia, Ashton and Atlin. Dear sister of Lane Johnston (Daphne), Gene Johnston (Linda), and Angela Seabrook (Craig). Cherie will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Earle and Lois Johnston, and by her brother Bud Johnston.
Cherie raised her boys in Shallow Lake, finally moving to Owen Sound where she resided for a number of years. Cherie’s job working as a registered nurse and having the opportunity to travel, were two of her greatest accomplishments. Many thanks to staff for her care since 2019 at Kelso Pines Retirement Home in Owen Sound, and since December 2023, at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Harriston.
In keeping with Cherie’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
