It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Charmaine Nyamacie Asare-Chuck; lovingly called “Charm”, a beloved mother, daughter, god-daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, who departed this world on Saturday July 15th, 2023, at the tender age of 22. She was a remarkable young woman whose radiant spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her, but her legacy of love, compassion and kindness will forever endure.
Charmaine was born in the vibrant city of Toronto, Ontario on October 17th, 2000 to Rita Asare and Phillip Robert Chuck. Charmaine is stepdaughter to Andrew Anthony Clarke, and older sister to Meilik, Aniya and Micaiah; and step sister to Ebony, Riyanna, Sheshauna, Santaya and Santana. She was a proud and devoted mother to daughter Sevyn and, an amazing granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many.
Charmaine had a zest for life, and a passion for storytelling that led her to find solace and excitement in watching CSI, Grey’s Anatomy and Fast & the Furious. These shows served not only as a source of entertainment but also as an inspiration to follow her dreams. She was a Bold, Confident, Courageous, Intelligent, Loving and Unquestionably Ambitious young woman. Charmaine’s unwavering determination to make a difference in people’s lives led her to pursue a career in nursing while nurturing aspirations of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Her determination and fearlessness were qualities that set her apart and destined her for greatness.
Charmaine’s most treasured possession was her family. Their love and support were the pillars that lifted her spirit and fueled her drive to succeed. She held a special place in her heart for her two-year-old daughter, Sevyn, who brought immeasurable joy and purpose to her life. Charmaine’s devotion to her daughter was boundless, and she was determined to provide her with a life filled with love, care, and opportunities.
To those who had the privilege of knowing Charmaine, she was the embodiment of charm, and sincerity. She embraced her straightforward nature and treated others with genuine kindness and compassion. Her warm and sweet demeanor made her a pillar of support for her family, always offering a helping hand and a listening ear. She touched the lives of many, particularly her friends and family, with her unwavering support and genuine loyalty.
Charmaine’s exceptional leadership qualities were evident to all who crossed her path. Her ability to inspire and motivate others set her apart as a true guiding light. She effortlessly combined inner strength and grace, making her an exceptional beacon of beauty, both inside and out. She truly embodied the girl-next-door charm that left a lasting impression on all who encountered her.
In keeping with Charmaine’s memory and her enduring love for her daughter Sevyn, we invite you to join us in celebrating her life at a memorial service to be held on August 12th, 2023 at Demarco Funeral Home, 3725 Keele St, North York. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a trust fund for Sevyn’s future, so her mother’s legacy may continue to impact her life in a meaningful way.
As we bid farewell to Charmaine, we do so with hearts full of love and gratitude for having known such a remarkable young woman. Though her time with us was tragically short, she touched the lives of many and left an unforgettable mark on this world. Her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts, and through Sevyn, her beautiful legacy will live on.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to light our way through life’s darkest moments. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten!
