Catherine (Cathy) Wainright, 61, of Parry Sound, Canada, passed away on Monday January 19, 2024. She was born on August 5, 1962.
Cathy, as she was affectionately known, was a caring and loving person who cherished her children deeply. She found joy in the company of her many cats throughout the years and had a passion for playing baseball and spending time with friends. An avid reader, she enjoyed taking long walks, listening to music, and immersing herself in nature. Her love for animals, especially wolves, was evident in her daily life.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Amanda Wainright (Jason Green), her son, Trendan Prentice, and her adored grandson, Taioma Blacksky. She is also survived by her sisters, Debbie Wainright, Karen Park (Tim Park). Lennie Wainright (Gail Wainright), as well as her brother, Roy Wainright. Also, all her nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Loraine Stiles.
Cremation has already taken place and A memorial service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to mental health organizations in honour of Cathy’s memory.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Torrance’s Funeral Home in Parry Sound, Ontario.
