Obituary
On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Catherine Sooley spent her day surrounded by her loving family at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion. Catherine passed away shortly after midnight on Sunday, September 3, 2023, with her daughter Kimberly and granddaughter Kayla by her side, at the age of 82 years.
Pre-deceased by her husband Lewis; son Shelby James; parents Francis and Cecilia; sister Madonna; brother Jim; and sons-in-law Garland and Vinay.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are her children Lewis (Trudy), Michelle, Michael (Kimberley), Kimberly (Craig), and Tanya (Roy); grandchildren Brittany (Carson), Kayla (Christopher), Kirsti (Jordan), Caitlyn, Zoe (John), Melanie Catherine Lewise, Brandon Lewis, and Kody Alexandar; brothers and sisters John, Francis, Jerome, Kevin, Veronica, and Margaret; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held from The Parish of the Epiphany, Heart’s Delight, on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Heart’s Delight.
