Mary Catherine (Cullen) Reaman of Chesley, and formerly of Gorrie, passed away at Hanover & District Hospital on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in her 85th year.
Wife of Donald Reaman. Mother of Evan & Claudette Reaman of Burk’s Falls, Lloyd & Sandy Reaman of Wroxeter, and Janet McGregor of Chesley. Grandmother of Marc, Ethan, Heather, Josh, Lisa, Brad, and Amanda. Great-grandmother of Angel, Amber, Hazel and Grace. Loved by Brady, Danielle, and Verity. Sister of Ken Cullen. Also sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Roy and Gerald Cullen, parents Cecil and Janie Cullen, and step mother Ruth Cullen.
Catherine was born in Gormley, Ontario. She married Donald Reaman May 16th, 1959, whom was the love of her life for 64 years. She was a housewife with many duties that came with living on the farm such as driving the tractor, milking cows, nursing baby animals back to life, all the while caring for her family. She loved to crochet, quilt, can and preserve, especially Grandma’s famous peaches, icicle pickle and relish, but her passion was music. Whether singing in a choir or with her trio or hearing music in her ear, she would hum any little tune. She always looked forward to breakfast with the Tractor Club, camping at Arkona, and Sunday drives with Donald, especially to see the fall colours. Although, her greatest joy was always her family. She will be remembered in the hearts of all who loved her.
Visitation will be held at Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Wednesday, November 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, November 16th from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Howick Township. A light lunch will be provided at the church following the interment.
Memorial donations to Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
