Catherine Mary Loveridge Obituary
Passed away peacefully December 5, 2024, Catherine Mary, at the Lionel Kelland Hospice. She was 63 years of age.
Predeceased by special sister Connie Norman, father Ivan Norman and parents-in-law Melvin and Goldine Loveridge.
Leaving to mourn her loving husband, Rodney Loveridge; daughters Melissa (Gordon Noseworthy) and Renée (Adam Stroud). Also leaving to mourn her mom Mary (Penny) Norman; sister Tina (Bruce) Boone, their daughters Stephanie and Samantha; brother Paul Norman (Jennifer Gale), their sons Riley, Aaron, Scott and daughter Grace. Leaving to mourn with beautiful memories is her only Grandson, Ivan Noseworthy (AKA Little Sir).
Also her sister and brother in-laws Betty (Melvin) Frost, Barbara, Dale (Agnes), Joy (Lloyd) Harnum, Frank (Peg), Marilyn (Tony) Bouzanne, Debbie (Louis Culumovic), Carol (Leo) McPherson, Rex (Lisa), Roy (Alison), Ray (Leona Tubrett), Gary (Lenore), and Lisa. Also left to mourn a large circle of nieces and nephews-Pamela, Paula, Jamie, Leslie, Brian, Emily, Trevor, Jeremy, Craig, Jill, Nick, Amy, Susan, Jennifer, Adam, Leanne, Shawn, Mackenzie, Amber, and Ethan.
Cathy was a beautiful soul, kind, gentle and loving to many who crossed her path. Cathy married her high school sweetheart, Rodney, in 1985. Their two daughters, Melissa and Renée, considered her not only their mother but their best friend and she was «mom to the end”. Her grandson Ivan was a blessing and Cathy’s love for him was evident whenever she spoke of her «little sir”.
Cathy will be remembered by many for the more then 30 years that she worked at Riff’s Department Store. In the last 8 years Cathy very much enjoyed her work at Kent, often behind the paint counter.
Cathy’s love of knitting produced many pairs of socks that she generously shared. Her and Rodney enjoyed many road trips around Newfoundland and a game of crib in ‘the shed’.
Her extended family and friends will surely miss Cathy’s often heard words «Hey Girl» and «You Go Girl”.
Rodney, Melissa, and Renée are very grateful and would like to thank everyone for the love and support of family and friends during this difficult time. They would also like to thank the staff of Central NL Regional Hospital and the staff of the Lionel Kelland Hospice who were so helpful and supportive.
In Cathy’s memory a donation may be made to the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at a later date.
