WEBBER, Catherine “Cathy” Elizabeth- September 24, 1933-October 23, 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Cathy Webber, on October 23, 2023, with family by her side.
Cathy is survived by her sister Linda Grimm, nephew Allan Grimm (Trudy), Ed Grimm, Eric Grimm and Bill Grimm. Predeceased by her mother and father, Ella and David Webber, nephew Bill Hughes and many cousins.
Cathy was a long-time member of the then Niagara Falls Art Association, and sat for 35 years on the Board of Directors. She also acted as president for 10 years. She didn’t draw or paint, but was very appreciative of art, in all of its forms.
She worked for Canada Man Power as a secretary and telephone receptionist for over 30 years and received an award for her service from the Public Service of Canada. She also received an award for Telephone Receptionist of The Year from the Chamber of Commerce. She travelled to Alaska, took cruises to the Bahamas and other southern destinations. She also travelled to England on many trips and Russia.
Cremation has taken place and Cathy’s family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Thursday, October 26th from 12-1 o’clock, with a memorial service to follow at the funeral home immediately at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a Charity of your choice.
