It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother;
Catherine (Cathy) Mary Apa on Tuesday, January 30th at the age of 76.
Born on April 8th, 1947, in Toronto, Ontario, Cathy filled the lives of her family and friends with true love and devotion.
A woman of great faith, she leaves behind three children Jennifer, Stephen (Carrie) and
Catherine (Ryan). As a devoted grandmother, her wisdom and exemplary legacy will be passed
on to her eight grandchildren Serena (Ian), Andrew (Cassidy), Matthew, Christopher, Justin,
Caterina, Mateo and Lucas. She also leaves behind her loving sister and brother (Mary Clare and John).
We are thankful that Mom is now at peace and welcomed with open arms into the Kingdom of
Heaven where she is finally reunited with her loving father (Bert), mother (Isabel), little brothers
(Paul and Larry) and her beautiful sister (Patti). Although you leave behind your family and
wonderful friends we are at peace knowing that you are truly home. Continue to pray for us from
above, in unison with the angels and saints, that God will show us his mercy and reunite us in
His time.
Friends and family are invited to visit the McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton,
on Sunday, February 4th from 7 – 9pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Parish,
139 Martin Street, Milton on Monday, February 5th at 11am.

A Limb has Fallen
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.”
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls.
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
