Carson Cameron
February 24, 1934 ~ November 20, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Carson Cameron.
Dad was the son of James and Bessie (Graham) Cameron and was born and raised in Keble, NS. As a teenager, Dad left for Northern Ontario to make his fortune. Along the way he met a girl from Cape Breton and intended to do the same. They fell in love and married one year later; they were both seventeen. As for that fortune they set out to make, the family joke has always been that they made us instead. Eventually they came back to Nova Scotia and moved into the family home in Keble.
Our Mom found her joy there and quickly began growing vegetables and making the most wholesome food. Dad raised countless draft horses and proudly showed many of them at exhibitions. Together they made a good life. They worked hard, fought hard and most importantly loved hard. It brings us such comfort knowing that they are now together once again.
Dad Leaves behind his daughter, Debbie Cameron, Chilliwack, BC, Heather Cameron, Tatamagouche and Robyn Cameron, Bible Hill; grandsons, Gavin and Cameron MacCallum Nuttby; granddaughter, Jolene Robinson, Chilliwack, BC, and the grandchildren in his heart, Thane Carruthers, Debert and Trisha Muirhead, Alberta; great grandchildren, Carson, Cole and Caylin Robinson all of Chilliwack BC. Besides his Parents he is predeceased by his wife, Cassie; infant son, Wayne; sisters Aleta, Evelyn and Jean.
It was our parents’ wishes to be cremated and when they were both ready, buried together during a private family service in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Middleton Corners with Rev. John K. Morrell officiating. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Bush and Martha Ferguson for their excellent care and to the many friends and community members for their kindness during this difficult time.
Arrangements are under the care of Coulter’s Funeral Home in Tatamagouche.
