Obituary of Carol Evans
It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of Joan Carol Evans, wife of the late Donald Evans, announce her passing on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born on December 22, 1934, in Sheffield, England, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mabel (Gough) Myers. At the age of 16, Carol and her family emigrated to Canada, where she met the love of her life Donald. After their first date, they knew they were meant to be together. She took great pride in raising her children and watching them grow. Carol enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with those she loved.
Carol is survived by her children; Stephen (Judy) of Lantz, NS, and Gwen Belyea (Steve) of Beaver Harbour, grandchildren; JeffreyEvans, Amy Evans, Adrienne Gulliver (Kyle), Mariah Belyea, and Alec Belyea (Jessica), great granddaughters; Adalyn Evans, and Wren Belyea, sister Janet Rees of Enfield, NS as well as herextended family.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). Donations in memory of Joan can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
