Obituary of Carole Catherwood
Catherwood, Carole of Aylmer passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of 60 years to George Catherwood. Dear mother Kelly Vandenbroek(Dave) of Port Stanley, Karen Ford(Mark) of Ingersoll and Kevin Catherwood(Terri) of Aylmer. Loving nanny of Ryan, Kristen, Derek, Sarah, Karli(Matt), Calvin and great-nanny of Bella and Beau. Sister of Norma Vandevyvere(late Pete), Linda McConnell(Jim) and Len Miners. She will be missed by her Aunt Leona Palmer of Florida and many nieces and nephews. Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario on September 5, 1942 daughter of the late Stuart and Beatrice(Pratt) Miners. Carole and George enjoyed many winters at the Tropical Palms in Florida. She was a member of the Winnebago Club and adventured across North America in their motorhome. She was a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the Red Hat Society. She would also enjoy a round of golf at the Belmont Golf Club. Carole enjoyed her days whether it be outdoors or in the sunshine but most of all her heart was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday from 1-3:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
