Carole Carriere (Thauvette)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carole Carriere, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us peacefully on May 1st, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 15th, 1964, in Timmins, to Laurent and Marie Thauvette, Carole was a beacon of light and warmth in the lives of everyone she met. She dedicated her career to serving as a social worker and later as an auditor, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering ethics.
Carole was a cherished wife to Roger Carriere, with whom she shared countless loving memories and adventures. She was a nurturing mother to Rejean and Renee, and a fun loving grandmother to Gabriel, Anjali, Dominic, and Eve. Her guidance and love will live on in her family, a legacy of her kind and gentle spirit.
She also leaves behind her siblings Joanne (Marce) Burnette, Claude (April) Thauvette, Marcel (Claire) Thauvette, and Linda Monet; and her in-laws Yvonne (Guy) Gauthier, Yvette (Bill) Martin, Diane (Jim) Gibbons, and predeceased Yvon (Roxanne) Carriere, and Yves Carriere. Each relationship was treasured and held a special place in her heart. As a loving aunt, her nieces and nephews will miss her dearly and hold onto the memories of her kindness and laughter.
Carole’s life was a testament to her values of love, family, and service. Her memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of those she loved.
Visitation will be held on May 10th, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, 150 Balsam Street South, Timmins. A memorial service will be held on May 11th, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the at the Miron-Wilson chapel. Interment of her ashes at Timmins Memorial Cemetery, followed by a lunch at 12:00 PM at Miron-Wilson Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation, a cause close to Carole’s heart.
Rest in peace, dear Carole. You will be missed more than words can say but remembered for the love and joy you brought into our lives.
