Obituary of Carol Ann Davis
It is with sorrow in our hearts that the family of Carol A. Davis, wife of the late Jim Davis, announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Carol was born on February 5, 1943, in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Carol was a woman of many talents, especially quilting, which was her true passion. She loved spending time quilting with the Kennebecasis Quilting Guild, and in her special sewing room. She and her husband, Jim met on a blind date and were married for over fifty years. Carol had a sense of adventure and when her beloved husband had to move to Yellowknife for work, Carol was all in. There they raised their children and spent many days out on their boat fishing for big northern fish. She was a loving and wonderful mom who always put her children first. During her retired years Carol loved to travel and together she and Jim went to Vegas, Australia, and on cruises, just to name a few of their adventures together. In her downtime Carol would often be found playing sudoku puzzles, watching her favourite true crime shows Dateline and 48 hours, or sipping her “pool wine” poolside. She loved a good mystery novel and was an avid reader. She will be remembered as someone who always put others first; even during the worst days of the pandemic, Carol would be found making 20+ facemasks a day just to make sure her community was safe.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Clay) Davis, siblings: Betty and Joan LeBlanc; grandchildren: Sean, Cody and Audrey Davis; daughters-in-law Janet and Debbie; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Carol was predeceased by her parents Camille and Euphemie LeBlanc; husband Jim; her two sons, Paul and Todd Davis; and siblings: Doris, Florence, Rita, Alda, Allen, Nancy and Philip LeBlanc.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Rd. Quispamsis (506-849-2119), with visiting on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held following the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, donations made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
