SCHIPPER, Carol – Passed away peacefully at home at age 91, after a remarkably long and happy life, following some recent health challenges.
Devoted daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Lou and Fay Mendelson and Joe and Bea Schipper. Wife to Lionel for a not-long-enough 71 years. Mother and mother-in-law to Ruthe Schipper and Jerry Rotstein, Marilyn and David Gotfrid, Stuart and Jayne Schipper, and Michael Schipper and Leah Lepofsky. Grandmother to Carly, Kate (Rich), Haley (Abir), Andrew (Amy), Sarah, Jeremy, Ethan and Asher. Great- grandmother to Jonah and Bea. Sister and sister- in-law to the late Elaine and Don Rafelman, and Arthur Schipper.
Funny, warm, graceful, beautiful and wise, she will be greatly missed by all of us.
The family would like to thank Dr. Deepa, Pricilla, and Nellie, the Temmy Latner Centre Team, and Princess Margaret and Toronto General Hospitals, as well as her caregivers Imelda, Christina, Helen, and Jo-Jo.
