A resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on May 25, 2024 at the age of 84. Born in London, Ontario, daughter of the late Keith and late Kay (nee Rodregues) Darling. Beloved wife of the late John Stevens (1996). Dear mother of Scott, Michael (Karelyn) and Candice. She will be greatly missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephew. Cherished sister to Diann Van Basselaere. Predeceased by her siblings John, Cathy and Debbie (Neller), and her niece Kelly Dimmick. We will all miss her warm smile, her infectious laugh and her sunny disposition. Visitation will be held at Kendrick Funeral Home, Chatham on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to PAWR (Pet and Wildlife Rescue, 405 Park Ave. E., Chatham, ON N7M 3W4) or Chatham Kent Animal Rescue (270 Inshes Ave., Chatham, ON N7M 2Z7).
