Passed away peacefully at almost 90 years on April 23, 2024.
Carol was a longtime Burlington resident and worked for many years
at the Burlington Public Library. She retired with her husband, Ron Smith,
to Wiarton, where she was very active in the community.
Following the passing of Ron, she returned to Burlington and resided at Pine and
Pearl Retirement Home. When her health began to fail, Carol moved into Alexander
Place Long Term Care Residence.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband Ron, son Matt, and son-in-law
Mark Cockshutt. She will be sorely missed by her daughters Rhonda Ryan {Eamonn),
Karen Cockshutt, daughter-in-law Diane Campling, grandchildren Rob, Christen, Bridget, Deirdre, Chelsea, Rhonnie, and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Alexander Place for their exceptional care.
To remember Carol, get together with good friends, enjoy a glass of wine and celebrate the good life.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
