It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Verdecchia on February 2nd, 2024 at the age of 80. Carol was surrounded by her family as she peacefully passed away in her sleep. Beloved wife and best friend to the late Wayne (2019), cherished mother of Lori Hutchinson (Chris) and the devoted Nanny to Carley and Connor. She leaves behind her loving sister, Dorothy Bailey (late Skip) and brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Gayle Verdecchia. Carol will be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Carol is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Clementine Mulligan and in-laws Gino and Emma Verdecchia.
As per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place through Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888). A celebration of life will be held in Sault Ste. Marie, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it is Carol’s wish that each of you enjoy an ice cream cone in her memory. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Woodland Villa, Aultsville wing.
