Loving wife of Nicol MacNicol. Devoted mother of Nicol (Patricia) MacNicol and Heather Arnold. Proud grandmother of Alastair (Erica) and Jennifer MacNicol and Cameron (Frida), Spencer and Grant Arnold and Great Grandmother of Viggo Arnold. Preceded by her parents Florence (Hanes) and Harold Gregory and sisters Ruth Gregory, Joanne Woods and Mary Turnbull. Carol grew up in Walkerville Ontario and attended Walkerville Collegiate, returning to teach there after graduating from University of Western Ontario (Honours Society) and O.C.E. Carol was active in Western’s theatre, student council and cultural programs. Carol met Nicol MacNicol at UWO where they had the time of their lives. The young couple settled in Toronto where they spent the rest of their happy years together. Carol’s primary passion was her husband of 70 years and her children and extended family. She was also an active member of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church and gave her time to various charities throughout her life. For decades, Carol enjoyed summers in Kincardine and travelling the globe with her best companion, husband Nicol, by her side.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:30 am at Morely Bedford, 159 Eglinton Ave. W, Toronto, M5R 1A8. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Belmont House would be appreciated.
