It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Derouin on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Cornwall at the age of 76 years.
Loving mother of Shelley Leroux, Travis Leroux (Tracy Zettler) and the late Shawn Leroux.
Cherished and proud Nan of Blaise Leroux, Jenna Leroux-Harquail and Teagan Leroux.
Dear sister of David Derouin (June), Gerald Derouin (Linda) and Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Roland «Lap» & Olive Derouin and brother Richard Derouin.
Carol will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her sense of humour and her devotion in caring for stray cats that would show up at her home.
Carol’s career as a hairdresser (nursing home & mobile in-home) ended in early retirement due to her Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis.
Cremation has taken place.
A family Celebration of Life for Carol will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy Memorial donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation of Canada.
