Obituary of Carmel Tombari
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Carmel, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in her 100th year. Wife and best friend of the late Art Sr. Cherished mother of Sharon (Richard Moroso) and Art Jr. (Marcella Rosa). Loving grandmother of Ashley Patterson and Marina (Matt Scott). Adoring great grandmother of Cece Patterson and Theodore and Arlo Tombari Scott. Predeceased by her parents Harriet and Joseph Merolini, her sister Mary (Gino Ciferri) and her brother Sonny (Joyce). Sister-in-law of the late Raniero Tombari (late Mary), late Ray Tombari (late Bernice) and the late Adrian Tombari (late Nora). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. A special thank you to Linda Hladki (late Vince). We would like to thank Dr. Adam Parent for his kindness and care of mom during her final days. We appreciate all the attention our mother enjoyed from the 3rd floor, Birch Lane staff at the FJ Davey Home. You are all wonderful. A heartfelt thank you to Father Alex.
A private family service has been held. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie or the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
