Obituary
Carman passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at Chapman House Hospice, on Friday, February 3, 2023. Born on December 9, 1945 in Owen Sound, Carman Gordon Mooney, of Owen Sound, was in his 78th year.
Dearly loved husband of Pamela Gibbons (nee Westlake) and the late Louise Mooney (nee Flarity) (2010). Loving father of Terri-Lynn MacLeod (Andrew) and Karen Howes (Chris) and stepfather of Sara Carder (Doug) and Mike Gibbons (Donita). Proud grandfather of Mark (Janelle), Amanda (Anthony), Amber (Steven), Stacey (Ben), Lennon, Dylan, Ryan and Sarah (Bryan) and great-grandfather of Ryder, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Micah, Maddie, Tyler and Brock. Dear brother of Alice Thompson, Sheila Porter (Don), Sharon Miller, Dan Mooney (Baunita), Jim Mooney (Jacqueline) and brother-in-law of Allan Flarity (Cynthia), Ron Flarity (Marjorie), Raymond Flarity, Helen Flarity, Marlene Baldwin, Brian Westlake and Barry Westlake (Christine). Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Carman will be sadly missed by his many cousins, friends and extended families. Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Marie Mooney and his brothers-in-law, Bill Thompson, Earl Miller and Don Flarity.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors, staff and volunteers at Chapman House Hospice for the amazing care and respect that Carman received.
A Memorial Service for Carman Mooney will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Spring interment in Oxenden Cemetery, Oxenden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chapman House Hospice would be appreciated.
