Carlina’s Obituary
In loving memory of our dear mother Carlina “Carling” Ramos Somera, who passed away peacefully at the High Prairie Health Complex on March 3, 2024, at the age of 98.
Carlina was born on June 4, 1925, to Ruperto and Tomasa Ramos in Labnig, San Juan, Ilocos Sur Philippines. She was a hardworking, wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.
She and our late father, Julian Somera raised seven children. Carlina will be deeply missed by her six children: Wilhelmina Somera, Floro (Aning) Somera, Melchor (Eva) Somera, Percival (Salve) Somera, Elmer (Efelda) Somera, Bernadette (Bill) Somera Scott and daughter -in- law, Isla.
Sixteen grandchildren: Father Robert, Belbel (Denis), Maria (Wilson), Liza (Romel), Florence (Arvin), Florinda, Francis (Jocelyn), Glen (Louisa), Gina (Chris),Maricel (Tim), Resan (Lenlen), Hazel (Kevin), Darren, Lovely (Ivan), Emerie (Kevin), Emerson, Summer. Twenty great grandchildren: Daphne, Denzil, Chayanne, Channeya, Anne Marie, Franchesca, Nathaniel, Yannie, Frankie, Hannah, Gabrielle, Jayden, Kayla, Olivia, Alyssa, Mia, Bill Evo, Avianna, Keziah, Evie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Julian Somera, son Sofronio (Florencia) Somera, her parents Ruperto and Tomasa Ramos, and her brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Homes and Crematorium in High Prairie, AB, on March 9 and 10, 2024 from 7:00 p.m.- 09:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff of the High Prairie Health Complex for their loving care of our dear Mom. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and condolences to our family. It is truly appreciated.
