SILENZI – Carla Louise (nee Francescutti) – passed away peacefully, at the Welland Hospital on Friday, May 12, 2023 in her 79th year. Predeceased by her husband Charles “Charlie” Silenzi and son Michael. Loving mother of Mark and his wife Judy and mother-in-law of Darlene. Cherished grandmother of Courtney, Dawson, and Blake Silenzi. Dear sister of Sandra (Ivan) Fortier, Louise (Ivan) Dupont, Angela (Tom) Gravelle, Gloria (Marty) MacQueen and Nancy (Carmen) Santoro and sister-in-law of Nancy Francescutti and John Silenzi. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Angelo and Josephine Francescutti, sister Maureen (Charles) LaGreca, brothers Raymond and Carl Francescutti and sister-in-law Angie Silenzi. Carla had operated Silenzi Variety with her husband Charlie before their retirement. Carla enjoyed watching the Blue Jay’s, playing bingo or taking a trip to the Casino but her biggest love was spending time with her family, especially her grand children. Caring and cooking for them always brought her great happiness. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 300 Chaffey Street, Welland on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to JDRF.
