Carla Isaak (Reimer) – 1939-2024
After a short battle with cancer, Carla Isaak (Reimer) joined her husband Peter Isaak (July 21, 2003), on August 15, 2024. Born in St. Catharines on December 12, 1939, she was the oldest daughter to Elizabeth and Abram Reimer (Rempel).
Carla will be missed at the monthly Sisters Day get together, by Anita, Linda and Brenda.
Carla leaves behind her children, Peter (Sandra), Tim (Tammy), and Nancy (Brian). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Darren, Noah, and Grace, as well as her great grandchildren, Mason and David.
Carla was an entrepreneur, running Peninsula Glass with her husband for over thirty years. She was active in her church, holding a position on the board of directors, as well as being a faithful member of the choir at Grace Mennonite Church. She also was involved with Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, being on the board of directors, head cook, and even camp director of the girls camp.
A sincere thank you to the Niagara Palliative Care Outreach Team, Nurses from St Elizabeth, and Hospice Niagara for your love and care for our mom throughout this journey.
Visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes Vineland Chapel (3277 King St., Vineland) on Monday August 19th from 2-4 and 6-8. There will be a graveside funeral for family at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday August 20th, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Mennonite Central Committee, or Silver Lake Mennonite Camp would be appreciated.
