Went home to be with his Saviour on December 20, 2023, at 93 years of age. Beloved husband of Peggy Davison (Brush) for over 70 years. Loving father of Anne Marie and the late Thomas Jeffery. Cherished Papa of Hannah, Tom, Joshua, and Carly. Dear father-in-law of Greg Gerrish and Jane Davison. Dear brother of Bernice Hillier (Ken), and the late Leroy Davison (late Elsie), Hazel Brush (late Randy), Marilyn Hanson (late Don). Dear son of the late Allen and Gladys Davison. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Carl, a dedicated follower of sports, found joy in attending Es 73’s games and closely following the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. His love for the game extended beyond the spectator’s seat as he coached hockey and baseball teams in Es.
In addition to his sporting pursuits, Carl’s professional journey led him to the oil and gas business, where he managed a division of Es Farmers. His commitment to public service was unparalleled, with many years devoted to municipal and county councils. In 1986, he was honoured with the role of Es County Warden, a testament to his leadership and dedication.
Carl’s selflessness extended beyond his professional life; he received the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of countless volunteer hours dedicated to the community. His exceptional contributions left a lasting mark on the hearts of those he served.
Faith played a central role in Carl’s life, guiding his actions and shaping his character. His active involvement in his Church, where he held various positions and coached the church hockey team, showcased his deep spiritual commitment. Carl’s unwavering attendance at church reflected the core values that defined his life.
Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Es Baptist Church (71 Maidstone Ave E., Es) from 10 am – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm. The funeral service and life celebration will follow at 8 pm. Private family interment to take place at Greenhill Cemetery in Kingsville.
