Carl Bud Schilling of Summerland, BC, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, at Dr. Andrew Pavilion at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda; 2 stepdaughters, Tina and Christine; 1 grandson, Logan; his sister, Margaret; sisters-in-law, Doris and Lorrie; brother-in-law, Lowin, and his wife, Linda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl was predeceased by his brothers, Roy and Benny; twin sister, Carol; and sisters, Irene, Minnie, and Ruth.
Carl was a loving person who could be a prankster at times and was well-loved for his sense of humor. He loved playing games inside and out, but his true passion was being outside camping and fishing; walking with the dog, gardening; and especially riding his horses. He was a tough cowboy at heart, enjoying the years with the chuckwagon, the wagon treks, and simply pleasure riding and driving.
He worked on many different farms, moving many times, experiencing and enjoying changes. Additionally, he worked for the town of Stettler and maintenance for the McDonald’s in Wetaskiwin.
