At the very young age of 14 years, Calen Stephen Collins passed peacefully away on Friday, June 14th, at James Paton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family,
Calen was born on December 10th, 2008, to Cluney and Beverly. He was a normal energic young boy and always eager to help anyone as a child until sickness started to take over his young body. He became a sick boy at the age of 6 years old and his health continued to decline as the days went on. He loved to sing choruses and listening to Christian music. At one point on a Sunday afternoon, Calen wanted to go up to the Salvation Army church Open Air service. That day he gave his heart to the Lord and wanted to serve Jesus. His favorite song was “Jesus loves me.” As sickness brought him to become bedridden, he still enjoyed people coming to visit and have a sing along. In the past months and days, he was a very quiet and sick boy. On Friday evening, God seen it time to take Calen home to Heaven with Him. Calen will be missed by all his family and friends. Gone young but left an everlasting impact on many lives.
Calen is predeceased by: Grandparents: Steward & Ida Collins, Wade & Barbara Collins.
Left to Mourn: Parents: Cluney and Beverly, Siblings: Kayla (Jason), Matthew (Jennifer), Ryan (Alyson), Brittany, Jasmine, Ashton, Cameron, Jordan, Chance. Plus, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and large circle of family and friends.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Oram’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home in Dover from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Funeral service will be held at 3;00pm from the Salvation Army Church, Hare Bay/Dover with Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Lockyers Bay.
