AMBO, Byron Duane (March 7, 1973 – June 30, 2023)
It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Byron Ambo wish to announce his sudden, unexpected passing, as the result of a single motor vehicle accident, on June 30th, 2023, in London, at the age of 50. Also passed away was Byron’s faithful dog and best friend “Tessa”, forever at his side. Byron was born in Tillsonburg, to his mother Evelyn (Robbins) Ambo, of Tillsonburg and predeceased by his father Jack Ambo Sr. (1993). Byron will be remembered by many as the proprietor of Sekond Skreen (cell phone/electronics repairs) and Ouloo (e-bike sales). Byron enjoyed motocross and he spent lots of time dirt biking with friends over the years. Byron will be lovingly remembered by his friends, family and anyone who took the time to get to know him as a sincerely caring and generous person. Byron is survived by his much-loved daughter Madison Ambo (Kendra Bowlby), of Thorold; by his brother Jack Ambo (Liz West), of Courtland; by his sister Lynnette (Andy) Hussey, of Hamilton; by his nieces and nephews: Brayden Ambo, Brooklyn Ambo (Hunter Murphy), Lindsay Hussey (Teshawn), Ashley Hussey. Byron is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private family viewing and farewell gathering was held in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, followed by cremation. A private graveside service will be held later in Cultus Cemetery (738 6th Concession Road ENR), under the care of Pastor Ted Smith, of Cultus United Church. A public celebration of life memorial for Byron will be held in the summer of 2023. Details will be announced soon. Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to share favourite memories and photos or express personal condolences via Byron’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com. The family has requested memorial contributions (in lieu of flowers) to assist with Byron’s final arrangements via gofundme.com/f/8e6tg-funeral-costs-for-byron-ambo or by cheque to “Madison Ambo”.
