It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Bruce Leis in his sleep at his home on September 12, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
He was born in Kitchener Waterloo on January 17, 1947. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Abner and Viola Leis and his brother Larry. He survived by his wife Diane Trepanier and by his children Jason (Stephanie Ethier) Leis and Andrea (Mitch Lafreniere) Leis and step son Paul Trepanier. Also survived by his grandchildren Kayla Lafreniere, Selina Leis, Abner Leis and stepgrandsons Jesse and Mason. He is survived by his sister Denese (Murray) Gingerich and family and by his brother John Woelfle and family.
Bruce in his younger years, loved playing hockey and baseball. For many of his southern family and friends he was known as Chopper. Bruce loved his farming life and Diane and Bruce ran a successful Feed Store, Northern Feed & Supplies for many years. He considered his customers his family. His love for gardening and racing were his passion. He very much enjoyed being a part of the racing crew with Jason. His words of wisdom will always be with us. He reminded us everyday to never give up.
Bruce will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
As per Bruce’s wish cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Condolences and tributes can be left at www.buffamleveille.com
