1960-2023
JARDINEVILLE, NB – Bruce Cail of Jardineville,
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Friday, January 27, 2023. Born in
Rexton, he was the son of the late Thomas Cail and late Audrey
(Murphy) Cail.
As a young man, Bruce moved to Alberta, where he established
his career in the railroad industry, found the love of his life, and
started his family. He returned to New Brunswick and continued to care
deeply and take great pride in providing for his wife and children. He
loved spending time with his family and friends, and he enjoyed
snowmobiling, sea-dooing, boating, and
biking.
Bruce was employed at Canadian National Railway for 35 years
where he retired as Assistant Superintendent. He volunteered many
hours for his girls at Air Cadets, was very involved in the Rexton
Snowmobile Club, and was an avid supporter of the Kent County Food
Bank.
Bruce will be sadly missed and forever loved by his wife,
Veronica. His love for life, compassion for others, and giving spirit
will carry on in his daughters, Taryn, Hailey, and
Alysa.
He is also survived by four sisters, Cathy Vautour (Raymond)
of Rexton, Shelly Clow (Lorne) of Stratford, PEI, Angela LeBlanc of
Hazelbrook, PEI, Karen Hicks (Dave) of McKees Mills; one brother,
Kevin Cail (Lynne) of Galloway; and many nieces and
nephews.
Bruce’s family extends their warmest thanks to the
staff of Dr. Georges-L.- Dumont University Hospital intensive care
unit and Stella-Maris-de-Kent emergency and palliative care units, who
provided compassionate, dedicated care to Bruce and imparted much
needed support to his family.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Funeral
Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at the
Victory Baptist Church in Rexton. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Bruce`s memory may be made to the Kent County Food Bank or the
Rexton Snowmobile Club.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson`s
Funeral Home in Richibucto (523-4252).
