We are saddened to announce the death of our mighty oak. Brian Edwin Gill, 72, of Zorra Township, Ontario died peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on November 10, 2023. Always up for socializing, he was the last to leave every gathering and family always came first. Brian had a love of trees and all things nature. From his many years as a Scout leader, to nature walks with his grandkids, and growing plants in his garden, he shared his encyclopedic knowledge and green thumb with others. He loved driving his kids to hockey and baseball, never taking the same way back. His boisterous laugh could fill a room and he will be missed by everyone who met him.
He is survived by the love of his life, Sandra (nee Sampson), children Kerrie (Robert), Amy (David) Brekelmans, Craig (Kim), Ryan (Brandi) and his beloved grandchildren Julia, Henry, Chris, Matthew, Calvin, Eadeigh, Lucy and Spencer, his siblings Ron (Cathy), Glenn (Debra), Keith (Cindy), Sheila, Linda (Jesse) Northcott, sister-in-law Donna Gill and will be missed by many extended family and very good friends.
Predeceased by parents Betty (nee Young) and Grant Gill, sister Katherine, her husband Ken Baechler, and Brian and Sandra’s eldest daughter Julie.
Family and friends are asked to join in the honoring of Brian’s life at visitation Friday November 17 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and funeral service Saturday November 18 at 2pm all at McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll followed by interment at Harris Street Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society,
