Obituary of Brett Rider

It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend Brett Rider. Brett took his journey to be with the Creator on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the age of 42 years.
He loved his little nephews who called him “Toes” Brett had a kind heart. Brett cared for his mother and always check to make sure she was okay. He was a quiet, kind person who live a humble life but always acknowledged those visiting. Brett grew up going to Morley Community School. He played guitar and enjoyed playing a game of chess with online friends around the world.
Brett leaves behind his mother Gloria, sister Angela; his aunties, Delphine Snow (Harvey), Diya Ridsdale, Delphine Rider, Anne Yorke, Doreen Kaquitts, Lorraine Powderface, and Bernadine Powderface; his uncles, Brian Snow (Eldra), and Bo Rahmberg from Sweden; special nieces, Leandra and Lyndsay, special nephews Peyton and Scott; grandsons Karl and Aiden; and close friends, Ryan Pellieter and Jeremy Twoyoungmen. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family from Snow, Labelle, Benjamin, Big Crow and the Tymen families. We apologize if we have missed anyone.
Dwayne was predeceased by his father Darrold Snow, brothers Daryl Rider and Leander; his maternal grandparents Rita Rider and John Labelle; and his paternal grandparents, Frances and Wallace Snow.
Wake Services will be held at the residence Gloria Rider (Morley, AB) on Saturday, March 25th, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at the residence Gloria Rider (Morley, AB) on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).
