Obituary For Brenda Lee Dreyer
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Brenda Lee Dreyer, on Monday, May 15, 2023, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 61 years.
Brenda was the first child born to Ed and Jean on January 19, 1962, in Dawson Creek, BC, and grew up on the family homestead in Bear Canyon, AB, until moving to Fairview, AB, to complete her high school education. Following graduation Brenda met and married Tim and went on to have two daughters. She spent the next three decades in small towns in Alberta: Rainbow Lake, Strathmore, and Grande Prairie before she followed her heart to the West Coast where she resided until shortly before her death.
There was nothing Brenda loved more then being a mom. Her daughters were the light in her life. She was much more than just a mother though, she was a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
With a passion for gardening, she spent many years working in horticulture and became very knowledgeable in her field. She always took great pride in growing a beautiful garden full of flowers everywhere she lived. She also had a love for adventure and spent many summers traveling around with her family and friends. Brenda especially loved our family trips to the West Coast. She loved camping, fishing, curling, skiing, reading, beach walks, playing her guitar, singing, jeeping, bike rides, shopping, fashion, doing puzzles, and crafting, among so many other interests and hobbies throughout her lifetime.
Brenda made an impact on everyone she met with her contagious laughter and kind heart. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. We will miss her dearly. She was taken from us too soon and our hearts weren’t ready. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts and in our tears. May she rest in peace.
Brenda will be forever missed by her daughters Ashlee (Lance) and Celeste (Darcy); grandchildren: Jaxon, Finley, and Brixton; sisters Dawn and Glenda (Sean); as well as her nieces, nephew, extended family, and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Edward, mother Jean, and her brother Steve.
There will be a private family graveside burial at a later date.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date this summer.
