Brenda Darlene (Lynch) Corkum
1966-2024
Brenda Darlene (Lynch) Corkum passed away peacefully at her
mother’s home, surrounded by her loved ones on August 3,
2024. Brenda was born in Kentville on March 7, 1966 to Muriel (Lynch)
Corkum, of Berwick and the late Hartley Corkum.
Throughout her life Brenda had several different jobs,
including taxi driving, factory work and working in restaurants,
before being forced into retirement due to her health. Outside of
work, Brenda loved to spend her time hanging out with friends, sharing
a laugh and having a puff. She especially enjoyed the time spent with
her best friend Lenny and her loving wife Tanya (Ginter) Corkum.
Brenda was also a great lover of animals, she kept herself busy with
her dogs; Harley «Monster», Wilson and Zoey; her cat,
Duncan; and her bearded dragon, Jackson.
Brenda is survived by her wife, Tanya; mother, Muriel;
brother, Ralph; son, Tyler; grandbaby, Destiny and many aunts, uncles
and cousins. Brenda was predeceased by her father, Hartley Corkum, as
well as her grandparents George and Mary Lynch, and uncle, Jack
Graves.
In keeping with Brenda’s wishes there will be no
visitation or funeral services; instead, a living wake took place with
her close friends and family. Donations in memory of Brenda may be
made to the SPCA or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
