Brandi Lee Nelson, 45, passed away suddenly on January 28th, 2024, in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Brandi was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Eli James Cardinal and Beverly Nelson on August 28th, 1978.
Brandi attended school in Lethbridge, and later in Fort McMurray. She had a lifelong passion for reading, and a hobby of colouring pictures of all kinds, especially with the children. Brandi loved watching television, movies, series and documentaries of all kinds. She loved her long bubble baths and was a «primper». She always took great care and attention to her appearance.
Brandi loved the finer things in life, and loved music and animals; she was always surrounded by both. She just loved to have a good laugh and was always rooting for the underdog.
Brandi is survived by her daughter, Summer Sky Nelson; her siblings: Mitch Nelson, Debby Copeland, Nancy Nelson, Melanie Gauthier (Kenneth), Suzette Nelson, Liza Nelson, Ambur Nelson (Lloyd) and Teddi Nelson (Tom); her mother, Beverly Nelson, as well as multiple nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
She is predeceased in death by her father, Eli James Cardinal, and her husband, Daniel O’Rae.
Memorial donations may be made to the Waypoints Women’s Shelter or the Centre of Hope.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the above organizations with a very special thank you to Robert Parmenter, and his staff at Robert Anderson’s Funeral Services Inc.
