In Loving Memory of Boyd Hillock
1938 – 2024
Boyd Hillock of Miramichi, NB, passed away peacefully at the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home on August 3, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born in New Bandon, NB, on May 6, 1938, he was the son of the late Samuel and Nina (Sealy) Hillock. Boyd was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for many years.
He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a curler for many years and had a passion for golf.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 65 years: Theresa; three daughters: Debra Hillock of Plaster Rock, NB, Natalie Hillock of Berry Mills, NB, and Susan Hillock of Durham, ON; three sons: Allan Hillock (Tracy) of New Market, ON, Dwayne Hillock (Thuy), and Jason Hillock (Lana), all of Fredericton, NB; one sister, Roberta Decourville of Bathurst, NB; also his brother-in-law, Hubert Sherrard; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; four brothers: Ernest, Ronald, Elgin, and Glen; and two sisters: Gladys and Jean.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 1-3 PM with a funeral service by the family to follow at 3 PM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
