LOVELY, Bonnie Lee (April 18, 1954 to February 22, 2024) It is with extreme sadness, the family of Bonnie Lovely, announce her recent passing on February 22nd, 2024. After a long and courageous battle with lung cancer for the last 10 years, she lost the battle, and took her last breathe at Belleville General Hospital, with her family by her side. She is survived by her three children, David (Erin), Chris (Jen), and Elizabeth (Sean). Grandchildren Haley (Andrew), Megan (Tyler), Emily, Paige, Rhea, Riley, Cody, Makayla and Devin. GG to Kirsten, Reese, Enslee and Jaxon. Also survived by her oldest sister, Cecelia and her youngest sister Linda (Darcy), her brother Rene (Carmen) and half sister Lorraine. Predeceased by her loving husband, Arnold in 2017 and grandson Noah in 2011. Bonnie loved her family immensely! She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GG), sister, aunt and a friend to so many. She cooked for all the family occasions, the last being this past Christmas dinner. She loved and looked forward to being outside. She enjoyed her gardens of flowers and vegetables, the lady bugs and the cardinals that visited her bird feeders daily, and even all the menacing critters that found their way into those gardens. The family would like to thank her neighbors and friends for checking in on her over the years, especially when and after her husband passed. She was not someone who would ask for help or accept it without a fight. She was extremely stubborn and feisty, but please know that she did appreciate it any and all help given to her. She had a hard time expressing herself and her emotions. She loved where she grew up, she was fortunate to be able to spend her adult life in the same neighborhood. She loved her community, her life long friends there. We would also like to thank the 911 responders, who treated her and her family with respect and kindness that day. Thank you ladies! 3 lovely ladies with big hearts and gentle hands. Also Belleville General Hospital who provided the end of life care she so richly deserved. At Bonnie’s request, there will be no funeral service. However there will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 at 1p.m. at the Elk’s Lodge Trenton to honor her memory. The family knows that Bonnie would of been honored to know that you planted a tree, a flower, a bush in her honor. There will be seedlings given out at the celebration of life to take or you choose something of your own choice to plant.
