MITCHELL, Bonnie Elizabeth (née Long)… Passed away peacefully at John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee on Sunday, June 4th, 2023 at the age of 81. Loving wife of the late John Frederick Mitchell Sr. who passed away in 2014. Cherished mother of Ronald J. Donaldson, Lucinda Donaldson, Tammy Donaldson, Bonnie Zorica, John F. Mitchell Jr. (Tracy), Peter Mitchell (Christine) and Wendy Matthews (Joe). Sadly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Joan Guptill (late Richard) and Pam Holton (late Cliff). Predeceased by her parents Benjamin & Anita Long (née Millar), her sister Patricia Jones (late Herb) and her brothers Ben «Paul» Long (late Brenda «Bunny») and David Long (late Roberta). Bonnie will be truly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Bonnie was a faithful member of the Anglican Church and a proud, dedicated and respected member of Scouts Canada.
Keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with WEAVER Life Centre – East, 29 Bay St. Trenton. Bonnie’s service details will be announced soon. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Quinte Humane Society.
