Anderson, Robert John
Robert (aka Bob) passed away after a brief illness at Brampton Civic Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the age of 73. Father to Jason (Jackie) and Tammy. Grandfather of Connor, Emma, Weston, Skylar, and Khloe. Fondly remembered by his sister Carol (John) and her family, Shane (Michelle), Colin, Evan (Holly), Sarah, Eowyn, and Bronwyn.
An avid Scout leader for over 30 years, and known by many as Scouter Bob or Akela, he dedicated much of his life to bringing youth and nature together. He enjoyed spending his free time camping, fishing, hiking, and was very proud to be a licensed Falconer. His family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) or the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday September 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm . Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 28th, 2023 at 11:00am.
A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
