Obituary of Blanche Galway
Passed peacefully away on February 14, 2023, Blanche Galway (Phillips), at the Carmelite, Grand Falls-Windsor. She was 69 years of age.
Mom retired as a waitress at the Tiwan Restaurant, Grand Falls-Windsor.
She was predeceased by her parents: Edmund and Bertha Phillips; sister, Anne and brothers: Terry Phillips and Barry Phillips.
Mom was a very kind and beautiful person inside and out. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The loss of your mother no matter how old you are changes your life forever. Your mother is your first and forever friend. You will never really get over the loss, but you learn to live with the loss. She is never far away from our thoughts and she is always in our hearts. She would have been 70 years of age on the 23rd of February, so happy birthday in heaven mom, we love you.
She leaves to mourn her husband Robert Galway; son, Barry and daughter, Roxanne (Brad) Hedges; her four grandchildren: Adam, Sydney, Dawson and Samantha and two great-grandchildren Trey and Laya and a circle of other relatives and friends.
At her request cremation has taken place with no visitation or memorial service.
