Blair «Pappy» Foster
It is with deep sadness the family announces the tragic passing of Blair “Pappy” Foster of Blue Ridge, AB, formerly of Oakland, NB, on May 11, 2024 at the age of 65 years.
The following will cherish Blair’s memory; his wife of 42 years, Wanda; sons, Dustin and Tayller (Rachael Evans) Friedley; daughter, Charity (Terry) Wilkins; grandsons, Kayle and Archie; granddaughter, Kierra; brother, Wayne (Flora); sisters, Leola, Barb (Evan), Ivy (Richard), Ruth and Charlotte (Carter); brother-in-law, Henry; and sister-in-law, Marie; along with many more dear relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Madeline Foster; brother, Wesley; sister, Eunice; and brothers-in-law, Alton, Archie and Jackie.
Blair was known for deeply loving his family and his grandchildren were his treasures in life. He was also known for his warm smile and ability to get along with everyone he met; he had genuine love for people. Blair was the epitome of an all-around good guy, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. In his free time, Blair found solace in nature, and enjoyed hunting, the tranquility of fishing and the simplicity of camping under the stars. He also made many fond memories quadding. Blair’s zest for life and passion for adventure will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Blair’s life will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Community Hall, 304 2nd Avenue, Blue Ridge, AB.
