Blaine Quist Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Blaine Quist on Friday, December 15, 2023. Blaine was the son of the late Edward and Beverly Quist, the younger brother of Kirsten GraceQuist (Michael GraceQuist); uncle to Quinten, Kevin, and Mackenzie Gracequist, and the late Eric Quist. Father of Kelli Goulais (grandfather to Preston and Khloe Valliere of Matt Valliere) and long-time friend and companion of Lynn Colombe. Blaine was also the beloved nephew to Liz (Ralph) Quist, and cousin to Brett Quist and Adrea Quist (Scott Norwood), Aiden, and Coulson Norwood.
Blaine grew up in Sturgeon Falls and attended Northern Secondary School where he participated and excelled in football, hockey, curling, and music. He was employed as a custodian for over 30+ years with the Near North District School Board (White Woods Public School). Blaine also had a love for all animals, especially his many beloved pets.
Blaine will be remembered as a fun-loving and generous guy and a good friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to golf, camp, and fish in Northern Ontario. The family will hold a private memorial.
