At his residence on Thursday August 24th, 2023, Blaine List of Chatham passed away at 66 years. Cherished son of the late Albert and Barbara List. Loving brother of Darcy, and Lisa Fraser. Dear uncle of Stacey, Darcy Jr, Danielle, Alex, William and Micaela, and great uncle of Lucas, Jelis, Kaleb, Rylee, Quinton, Lowen and Raider. Blaine will be remembered by his aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date.
An interment at Dresden Cemetery will be announced, and a time of fellowship follow will be announced.
In Blaine’s early years of school, he found a love for running, which would later benefit him in making the McGregor High School Football team. This team was the first team in McGregor’s history to win the Kent County championship and SWOSSA. As a member of this team, he was valued for his enthusiasm and love of the game. He was known for never backing down from any contact even though his was one of the smallest players. Blaine was well liked by his teammates and coaches.
Blaine was a huge fan of Muhammad Ali, and music. He had a large vinyl collection and especially loved the music of Marvin Gaye. He followed horse racing and enjoyed thrift shopping with his late mother. Blain loved spending time with his Aunt Blanche and Uncle Grant.
Although Blaine’s life would be impacted by mental illness, Blaine’s kindness and generosity was always present and will be remembered. Our family would like to remember “Our Greatest” “Blaine” of all time. We will miss you Blaine.
The family would like to thank the Mental Health Network of CK for their support and friendship in caring for Blaine over the years. He considered them part of his extended family.
