In Loving Memory of William «Bill» Gladstone
William «Bill» Gladstone, aged 77, peacefully passed away surrounded by infinite love on December 15, 2023. Born on July 18, 1946, in Amsterdam, Holland, to Leonard and Anna Gladstone, Bill’s journey was marked by a legacy of determination, honor, passion, and adventure.
A dedicated Forester throughout his long career, Bill found great pride in his work. Following retirement, he embarked on a new chapter of life, sharing his passion for travel and adventure with his soulmate and wife, Evelyn.
Bill is survived by a loving family who will cherish his memory: his children Billy Gladstone, Shaylene Hunter, Leanne Gladstone (Devin Borton), Jessica Gladstone (Art Nowacki), Ken (Shelley) Doell, Keith (Kati) Doell, and Kris Doell. He leaves behind grandchildren: William and Ashley, Chase and Clay, India and Rickson, Jordon Doell, Brittany (Justin) Zoratti, Tristan (Shayna) Doell, Kayla, Riana, Marisa and Noah; great-grandchildren: McKinley, Max, Rhett, Raeleigh, Jake, and Hayley. Bill is also survived by his twin sister, Marie Lafournie (Ron Vankaughnett), his nephew Chad (Lorraine) Lafournie and their children Gabrielle, Clark and Hilary. He also leaves behind his good friend and sister-in-law Eleanor Davis as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In his heart, Bill carried the memory of his beloved spouse, Evelyn Gilbert Gladstone, his sister Sylvia Vickers, and his parents Leonard and Anna Gladstone.
Bill’s cherished feline friend, Tiggs, will dearly miss his long-lasting companionship. May Bill’s spirit continue to inspire fun-loving gatherings and adventure in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of Bill’s remarkable life will take place on December 29, 2023, at The Royal Canadian Legion upstairs, in Pincher Creek, AB from 2:00-4:00pm. Your presence and warm memories are welcomed as we honor a life well-lived.
