POLITO, Betty (née Love) – June 19, 1924 – July 11, 2024 ~ It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Betty Polito (née Love), in her 101st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore Charles Polito (July 10, 2012). Cherished mother of John (Gail), Sal (Betty), Paul (Kate), Jane, and Ozzie (Kerry). Proud grandmother of Robin Thompson, Tamra Fierheller (Geoff), Ryan Polito (Tanya), Nicolas Polito (Shannon), Tony Polito (Kristy), Marco Polito, Evan Polito (Sarah), Elise Polito, Nicole Montgomery (Andrew), Owen Polito, and Arron Polito. Loved «Grandma B» to 17 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister, Fran Yanchuck (the late Bill). Predeceased by her parents; Ozzie and Jean Love, her sisters; Mary Davies (Ginger), and Anne Brennan (Bill), her brothers-in-law; Phil Polito (Jean), and Roy Polito (Josephine). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours. In honouring our mother’s wishes, there will be a private family interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lindsay at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the support staff that cared for our mother.
