Betty Ann White, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Fairfield Park Nursing Home, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 79.
Betty was born in Petrolia and was a daughter of the late Epe and Ruby (Melinychuck) Terpstra.
Beloved wife of the late Peter Parks.
Loving mother of Barbara (Robert) Huff.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Melissa, Danny, Ian, Tiona (Joe), Brendon and Krista and her great grandchildren Zachary, Damon, Talia, Ainsleigh and Mason.
Predeceased by her brothers Dick (Richard) Terpstra and Ray (Pina) Terpstra.
Betty loved her spouse of almost 30 years, Peter and loved going on adventures and shopping with her granddaughter Pita (Tiona) and great granddaughter Talia. She absolutely loved her stuffed rabbit Peter Rabbitt and held him every day and every night; wherever Gigi went, Peter Rabbit would go with her. She waitressed most of her life and enjoyed the job a lot until she started doing newspaper deliver with her loved one Peter Parks; they did it faithfully and enjoyed spending this time together. Her and Peter enjoyed going to her brother (ray) and sister in-law Pina’s home every Christmas Eve to have a meal together; they truly enjoyed spending time together.
Betty was the definition f a superstar and she will now be up in the sky with the moon and the stars. When you see a twinkling star, know it’s Betty. When she lost her spouse and her great granddaughter Talia, she decided the moon was Grandpa and one day the star would be Gigi when it was her time.
The late Betty White rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia may be left at the funeral home.
